About Us

Our Commitment

The journey to create Aspiring Ashes began in 2020, sparked by a promise made to my beautiful mother years before the devastating effects of Alzheimer's took hold and the cruelty of dementia pierced my soul.

She wanted to become a tree after death. While I knew this wasn't possible in the literal sense, I believed there was a way, with time, dedication of family, and reflection, to fulfill her wish to become a tree in spirit.

I gave her my word twice—once in a moment of lightheartedness many years ago, and again as I cradled her in her hospice bed. In one final, fleeting moment of clarity, she asked for forgiveness for her shortcomings and for the chance to bring joy to my heart as the tree I had promised.

Now, every morning, I open my kitchen blinds and gaze at her tree. I tend to it, and I feel only joy.

I want to help you achieve the same sense of peace, because this is no longer about me—it’s about you.

Warm regards,

Cas
